Allyson Felix

Allyson Michael Felix was a Los Angeles native born on the 18th of November, 1985. The father of the child, Paul Felix is an ordained Minister at Master's Seminary, Sun Valley. As for her mother, Marlean Felix is a teacher at Balboa Magnet Primary School. Felix demonstrated a talent for athletics early on discovering her athletic abilities while she was at the Los Angeles Baptist High School. Ten weeks after the first attempt she made, she was ranked second for 200m in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. In 2003 Felix was a senior in high school having signed a professional contract with the sports company Adidas and then enrolled in the University of Southern California where she was studying elementary education. Felix won her first Olympic medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics held in Athens Greece. She broke the Junior World Record sprinting 200 meters in 22.18 second. At the 2005 Helsinki World Championships, Felix became the world's youngest champion in the 200m. In 2007, she won her title by beating Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix took part at her first Olympics in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro as well as Tokyo regularly placing in the top three of her races.
