Allyson Felix

Allyson Michael Felix a Los Angeles native born on the 18th of November, 1985. Her father Paul Felix was an ordained minister at the Master's Seminary in Sun Valley as well as her mother Marlean Felix was a school teacher at Balboa Magnet Elementary School. Felix was aware that she was gifted for running when attending Los Angeles Baptist High School. After just 10 weeks of her first race, Felix placed 2nd in the 200-meter race in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix agreed to sign a contract with Adidas for a career in professional sports with Adidas in 2003, and later enrolled in University of Southern California to pursue a degree in elementary education. The first Olympic medal was won at the 2004 Summer Olympics which took place at Athens Greece. Felix set an international junior record sprinting 200 meters in 22.18 seconds. In the 2005 Helsinki World Championships, Felix became the world's youngest champion in the distance of 200 meters. She won the title in 2007. defended the title against her Jamaican adversary Veronica Campbell. Felix was consistently in the top 3 throughout her competitions in the Olympics which took place in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
