Amy Carlson
Amy Lynn Carlson (born July 7, 1968) is an American actress best known for her portrayals in the roles of Linda Reagan in the CBS police procedural Blue Bloods as well as Alex Taylor on the NBC drama Third Watch, and Josie Watts in the NBC daytime soap drama Another World.
Early life
Carlson was born in Elmhurst in Illinois [[DuPage County Illinois near Chicago. Her family was raised in Glen Ellyn in Illinois by her parents, Robert Eugene Carlson and Barbara Jane (Hultman), teachers in the school. Carlson is of Swedish origin with roots in Smaland.
Career
1986-1992: College and early career
She was introduced to Hollywood when she worked as a background actor in the film Lucas starring Charlie Sheen, Corey Haim as well as Winona Ryder. She later joined her older sister Betsy (Knox College) in Galesburg.
